You Belong in A ZOO

We've had a very busy week in the Rinard home. First of all, the Soph is cutting her two-year molars, so that's a ball of fun.

Other than that, the week has been great. We went to the zoo with Kim K., Angie, their kids, Zach, Abby, and Mya. The babies sat wonderfully in a wagon looking at all the elephants and big 'meow-meows."

Sophie loved the sea lions swimming, though if you ask her what they did she'll tell you "roar." We're working on memory.

Next we went with Kelly, Abby, and Grandma Adams to Powell Gardens to see the dinosaurs. Apparently, the dinosaurs aren't REAL, so that was a disappointment. But the gardens were gorgeous, of course, and the day was beautiful. Sophie had a wonderful time looking at everything and once again fell fast asleep as soon as she was in the car.

A couple of things I've learned this week:
  • Don't get Soph a sandbox for her birthday. She has issues with it.
  • Wagons need wheels to move.
  • Naps in the car mean no naps for Mommy.

Passing the Torch

Sophia has been quite busy lately (more on that later) so she's asked me to take over her blogging business. She's also thoughtful of her little sister. She doesn't want to shine too much. Our little Sophia is what you might call Humble.

Ha.

So...what we've been up to...

Sophie has moved to a big girl bed. It was a reasonable transition, made much easier once we got those door handle locks. She also has been binky free for several weeks, now.

On the looming horizon is potty training. Honestly, I'm a bit scared. She's gone in the potty a few times, but I'm not sure she's ready. Or maybe I'm not.

BIG NEWS!!

You may have heard about this, BUT...

we're expecting a new addition. Cecilia Lorraine Rinard will join us in September. We're very excited to meet her and are busy turning our office into another nursery.

I'll work on getting pictures soon, and maybe I'll be better at posting than that very busy little girl.

Whew! It's been a busy year.

Hey there, friends.

So my mom got this email today from my pop-tart Aunt Kelly. It was about the family Christmas party. It was at the moment that I realized I had ignored my blog for and ENTIRE year. I apologize to my faithful fans. I'll try to be more diligent (Daisy taught me that word, as in "Ruff, I'm a very diligent watch-puppy, ruff").

So what's been going on? Seriously? You want me to catch you up on 2/3 of my life. Ok, well here goes a shot. Drooling, pooping, baby food, rolling, scooting, rocking, crawling, table foods, standing, lower bed, good bye mobile, standing, laughing, giggling, gooby swing, waving, signing, more, more, more, standing, playing, "Mama", "Dada", "Bye-bye", standing, cruising, goodbye carrier, more, more, more, "uh-ew", WALKING, vaca in CO, "thank you", signing, drink, eat, more, more, more, "Love You", "uh-ew", "uh-ew", "uh-ew", FIRST BIRTHDAY, presents, boxes, wrapping paper!, lady bugs, mommy back at work, "uh-oh", thankyouthankyouthankyou, "Where'd it go?".

I think I got everything in there, but I guess it's possible I missed a few events. It really has been a busy year. But it's my favorite season, again, and I look forward to catch you all up on my events.

Growing Girl!

I've been really, really, really busy lately. So busy I coudn't write. I've been growing, that's what I've been busy doing! Lots of things have happened. I'm cutting my first tooth (ouch!), I'm eating cereal now (yum!), and we had these two awesome holidays called Thanksgiving and Christmas (fun!).
My family is always around. Here is my Aunt Ruthie. She lives in Florida and I've never met her before. I'm glad I finally got to see her. She's super nice! Below is me with those silly Tomczuks. I love to laugh and play with them but sometimes Aunt Kelly makes me cry. I just like to tease her. I secretly really love her.

The really big news is Daddy let me drive the van. JUST KIDDING. He let me practice, though. I think I did a pretty good job. Lately, Mom has the camera in my face all the time. But more on that later!

Love,
Sophers

At the Sock Hop!

So about 13 days ago my mom and dad went a little crazy. They dressed me in all black and put this pink frilly skirt on me. Mom made me where these glasses that made the whole world look dark and everyone took lots of pictures of me.

Mom and Dad even dressed up funny. I guess that's what all these people are calling Halloween?

Next year Mommy says we can get me some candy from strangers. So now I'm confused, because I thought I WASN'T supposed to take candy from strangers. Grownups sure are weird.

Pumpkins Everywhere!

A couple of weeks ago Mom and Dad took me to the Red Barn Farm. It was really cold. Grandma and Grandpa Rinard went with us and we met Uncle Todd, Aunt Ang, Olivia, and Julia there. It was really need and I got a tiny pumpkin for myself.
We even took a hay ride out to the pumpkin patch, where Mommy and Daddy picked out our family pumpkin. In a few years, I'll get to pick out my own. But for just right now, I'm not really into that sort of thing.

After the pumkin patch we came back to our house. Grandma and Grandpa Rinard stayed for dinner and the Grandma Rinard babysat me! We has so much fun! I don't get to see her quite as often so that special bonding time was really nice! See what a cute pair we make?

Love,
Sophie

A Trip to the Farm

Daddy went to his college last weekend to cheer on the little monkies at Pitt State and Mommy and I went to the farm. Her bestest friend Christy's parents live up there. We went to the Northwest parade and saw Alyssa in her rubix cube costume. Then Mommy and Christy went out and I stayed in Carolyn, Christy's Mommy. It was a lot of fun. Paula's kids were there so I made friends. I was a pretty good baby, too! I saw lots of farm land and it was really fun. The shopping was a tad scarce. Just Maurices, which is awesome, but that's all they had. Not even a Babies R' Us! Can you even believe it!

Love,
Sophers.
